Navigating aged care is often complex, especially for culturally and linguistically diverse communities like South Asian seniors and their families. Language barriers, beliefs about elder care, and stigma add extra challenges.
The CultureCare project seeks to co-design an aged care decision aid tailored to these needs. We’re inviting aged care professionals and other experts to share the navigation tools or decision aids they rely on. The input will guide us in identifying effective resources and thus understand what key ingredients should be included in new solutions.

The Diverse Representation in Equity & Access in Mental Health and Sleep Project (DREAMS)
The Diverse Representations in Equity & Access in Mental Health and Sleep (DREAMS) project seeks to examine and understand the well-being, social, and healthcare experiences of older adults living in Australia who identify with culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities. This topic has been insufficiently researched so far, and it aims to address the gap through the DREAMS project by documenting data about sleep and mental health within CALD communities, and how CALD communities experience the Australian healthcare system. Project findings can help guide and inform future healthcare practices and improvements in the healthcare system.
